Travel Info

Glenrock is a wonderful small Wyoming town with a down-home vibe and friendly smiling people. Settled at the confluence of the North Platte River and Deer Creek, Glenrock has strong ties to the rich history of the area as it was a vital stop along the Oregon Trail for those emigrating westward in the 1800's. There are numerous opportunities available to immerse yourself in Glenrock's history through visiting the Deer Creek Museum, the Paleon Museum, Rock in The Glen and locating the Deer Creek Station monument in town. Outdoor activities include hiking and mountain biking at the Duncan Ranch Trail Head south of town, and golfing at the Glenrock Golf Club. There is also an indoor recreation center and the kids will love playing and exploring at the new town square. If you're there in the winter be sure to check out the ice rink.

Like many small towns in Wyoming lodging and restaurant options are limited. A short 20 minute drive east to the larger town of Douglas and west to the city of Casper will provide more lodging and restaurant options. Wherever you stay you're sure to enjoy the hospitality that Central Wyoming has to offer.
